The Harnett County Opioid Task Force convened for its official meeting on April 16, marking a significant step forward in the county’s ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis. The meeting brought together local partners from healthcare, emergency services, and public health to collaborate on strategies aimed at prevention, treatment, and recovery.

During the meeting, the Task Force approved funding for several important initiatives designed to enhance local response and support services:

      • Dunn PAL – $44,10000 was approved to expand Dunn Police Athletic & Activities League's (Dunn PAL's) early intervention services by providing structured, age-appropriate substance-use prevention education and support.

The Harnett County Opioid Task Force will continue to meet regularly to coordinate local efforts, expand education and prevention programs, and ensure that resources are effectively deployed where they are needed most.
